How to make star and moon wind chimes, perfect for decorating the crib!

This wind chime includes a variety of blues mixed with metallic highlights. We painted the wall behind the crib a beautiful ocean of blue which was the perfect backdrop for the wind chimes with the moon and stars.

DIY materials for moon star wind chimes: stars (Christmas decorations, wooden stars, jewelry stars, cookie cutters, cardboard, etc.), branches, spray paint, jewelry, chain beads, precious wire, filigree, wall hooks

Step 1. We are looking for a material for hanging baby wind chimes. It just so happened that the length and curve of the branch was perfect for the crib.

Step 2. We spray gold metallic spray paint on the branches. I marked the height and curvature of the back of the crib and then temporarily taped the branches to the wall to determine where to install the wall hooks.

Step 3. I installed a wall hook on each side for hanging tree branches. To make sure the wind chime never falls off, I wrap the wire around the contact point between the hook and the branch. Very sturdy.

Step 4. For each individual star, I hung a jewelry chain from a tree branch and attached the star to the end of the chain.

Step 5. Each star hangs from the branches at different lengths.

Step 6. To make the moon, I used floral wire.

Step 7. The curve of the branches makes the stars hang outside the wall and creates the shadow of the stars on the blue wall~
